Key Verse:
“The Lord is good to those who wait for him, to the soul who seeks him.”
— Lamentations 3:25
Devotional:
Waiting can feel like the hardest part of faith. You’ve prayed. You’ve believed. You’ve done everything “right.” And still, the answer hasn’t come. The door hasn’t opened. The breakthrough hasn’t happened.
In a culture that moves fast and rewards instant results, waiting feels like failure. But in God’s kingdom, waiting is often where transformation happens. Lamentations 3:25 reminds us that “The Lord is good to those who wait for him.” Not just those who get answers quickly—but those who wait, trust, and seek Him in the slow, silent seasons.
What if the waiting isn’t a waste—but preparation? What if the delay isn’t punishment—but protection? God is never idle. Even when you can’t see it, He is working in the unseen—shaping your heart, strengthening your faith, and aligning everything for the right time.
Don’t mistake silence for absence. The same God who moved before will move again. And until He does, trust that He’s doing something in you while you wait.
Reflection & Prayer Prompt:
What are you waiting on God for right now?
Ask Him to shift your focus from impatience to expectation—and to show you what He might be doing in your heart during the delay.
Faith in Action:
Write a letter to God expressing your honest thoughts about what you're waiting for. Then, write a second paragraph declaring your trust in His timing.
Choose one worship song to play today that reminds you of God’s faithfulness—let it be your anthem in the waiting.
Prayer:
God, I don’t like waiting—but I trust that You’re not wasting it. Help me believe You are working behind the scenes, even when I can’t see the progress. Shape my heart in the delay. Strengthen my faith in the unknown. Teach me to wait well—with hope, not frustration. Amen.
