Key Verse:
“Your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.”
— Matthew 6:6b
Devotional:
There’s something discouraging about doing the right thing when no one notices. You stay faithful, show up, forgive, serve, pray—and it feels like no one sees it. No applause. No affirmation. No results.
But Jesus says otherwise. In Matthew 6, He reminds us that God sees what no one else does. The quiet obedience. The secret sacrifice. The small acts of love and integrity. The prayers no one hears. The tears no one knows about. None of it is wasted in God’s eyes.
While the world celebrates what’s loud, visible, and impressive, God rewards what’s done in secret. He’s not measuring your life by likes, attention, or applause. He’s watching the heart. And He promises that what is done in secret—He will reward.
So don’t grow weary in doing good, especially when it feels unseen. God sees. God knows. And in His kingdom, nothing faithful is ever forgotten.
Reflection & Prayer Prompt:
Where have you been feeling unseen or unappreciated in your faithfulness?
Ask God to remind you that He sees and to strengthen you to keep going.
Faith in Action:
Do something kind for someone today—without telling anyone else. Let it be an act of secret worship.
Journal the unseen things you’ve done recently for God’s glory. Then thank Him for the privilege of being faithful, even without recognition.
Prayer:
God, thank You for seeing what others don’t. When I feel unnoticed or unappreciated, remind me that You are watching, and You are pleased with quiet obedience. Help me to live for Your eyes, not for applause. Strengthen me to keep going, even when no one else sees. Amen.
