Key Verse:
“But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.”
— Isaiah 40:31 (NIV)
Devotional:
Some days you feel unstoppable.
Other days, just getting out of bed feels like a victory.
Life has a way of draining your energy—emotionally, physically, spiritually—until all you’re left with is a deep, quiet tired.
But Isaiah 40:31 gives us more than motivation.
It gives us a promise: those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength.
Not those who hustle harder.
Not those who always have it together.
Those who hope.
Those who come to Him empty and expectant.
Those who admit, “I can’t do this alone.”
Because real strength doesn’t come from within—it comes from above.
When your strength runs out, His begins.
When you feel too weak, He lifts.
When you're crawling, He carries.
And when you’re ready to quit, He gently whispers, “I’ve got you.”
Reflection & Prayer Prompt:
What’s been wearing you down lately—physically, emotionally, or spiritually?
Have you been trying to power through in your own strength, or are you letting God renew you?
What would it look like to pause today and receive strength instead of striving for it?
Faith in Action:
Journal: Finish this sentence: “God, I feel weak in ______, but I trust You to be strong for me.”
Pause + Breathe: Take a moment today to sit in stillness and pray, “Renew me, Lord.”
Encourage Someone: Share Isaiah 40:31 with someone else who’s feeling worn out. Let them know they’re not alone.
Prayer:
God, I’m tired. Not just physically, but deep-down weary. I’ve tried to hold everything together, but I know I was never meant to. Thank You for being my strength when I have none left. Teach me to hope in You. Remind me that I don’t have to carry this alone—and that Your power is made perfect in my weakness. Amen.
