Key Verse:
“You will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast, because they trust in you.”
— Isaiah 26:3 (NIV)
Devotional:
Some seasons feel like everything is up in the air.
The plans you made fall apart.
The answers you hoped for don’t come.
The ground beneath your feet doesn’t feel steady anymore.
And in the middle of it all, you feel like you’re scrambling to hold it together.
But Isaiah 26:3 gives a promise that’s both gentle and powerful: perfect peace isn’t found in having it all figured out—it’s found in trusting the One who already does.
Peace doesn’t mean the storm stops.
It means you’ve anchored yourself to the only One who doesn’t change.
While the world spins, while the pressure mounts, while you don’t know what’s next—God remains steady.
You don’t need all the answers.
You don’t need a 5-step plan.
You need Jesus—right in the middle of the chaos.
He is your calm.
He is your clarity.
And He is still in control, even when you feel like you’re not.
Reflection & Prayer Prompt:
What part of your life feels out of control right now?
Are you looking for peace through plans, people, or control—rather than in God’s presence?
What does it mean for you today to trust instead of grasp?
Faith in Action:
Journal: Write out everything that feels chaotic right now. Then, over that list, write “God is still in control.”
Pause + Breathe: Take 3 minutes today to sit quietly, breathing deeply, repeating the phrase: “You are my peace.”
Encourage: Send a note to someone who’s overwhelmed and remind them: they don’t have to figure it all out today—God’s already in it.
Prayer:
Lord, You see the chaos I’m carrying—the parts of life that feel too big for me. I want to control it all, but I know You’re asking me to trust instead. Calm my heart. Still my thoughts. Remind me that You are not overwhelmed, even when I am. Be my peace, my anchor, and my strength. Amen.
