Key Verse:
“The eyes of the Lord are on the righteous, and His ears are attentive to their cry.”
Psalm 34:15 (NIV)

Devotional:
What do you do when you’ve prayed all the right prayers, said all the right words, and still—nothing seems to happen?

You start to wonder if your prayers are too weak. If your faith isn’t big enough. If maybe God has more urgent people to listen to.
But Psalm 34 reminds us that God’s ears are attentive to your cry. Not just your polished, well-phrased prayers—but your cries. Your groans. Your silent whispers through tears.

Prayer was never about performance. It’s about presence.
It’s not a formula to get what you want—it’s a lifeline to stay connected to the God who already knows what you need.

Just because you don’t see change right away doesn’t mean God isn’t moving. His timing is different. His ways are deeper. And His love is constant—even in the waiting.

He hears you.
He sees you.
And He hasn’t stopped working, even if He’s working in ways you can’t yet see.

Reflection & Prayer Prompt:

  • Where in your life have you been praying and feeling unheard?

  • How have you measured the “success” of your prayers—by outcomes or by closeness to God?

  • What would it look like to keep praying, not because you see results, but because you trust His heart?

Faith in Action:
Journal: Write out a prayer you’ve been praying for a long time. Then, underneath it, write: “God still hears me.”
Change the Pattern: Try a different way of praying today—go for a prayer walk, write your prayer as a letter, or pray out loud.
Encourage: Reach out to someone who’s been praying through something hard. Remind them that being heard by God is never in doubt.

Prayer:
God, sometimes prayer feels like a one-way conversation. I talk, I plead, I wait—and wonder if You’re listening. Remind me that You are. Help me to stay close, even when I don’t see answers yet. Grow my trust, not just in what You do, but in who You are. Thank You that my prayers never go unnoticed. Amen.
