Key Verse:
“Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.”
Psalm 119:105 (NIV)

Devotional:
Sometimes the hardest part of faith isn’t hearing no—it’s hearing nothing.
You pray for direction, ask for clarity, and still feel stuck in the fog.
What job should I take?
Is this relationship right for me?
Should I stay, go, wait, act?

Psalm 119:105 doesn’t say God gives us a spotlight.
It says He gives us a lamp—enough light for the next step.
Not the whole path.
Not the final destination.
Just what’s right in front of you.

Discerning God’s will isn’t always about hearing a loud voice or having every detail mapped out.
It’s about trusting His Word, listening for His whisper, and being willing to obey—even when it’s just one step at a time.

He leads patiently.
He confirms gently.
And when your heart is surrendered, even your mistakes can’t override His plan.

Reflection & Prayer Prompt:

  • Where in your life are you currently seeking direction or clarity?

  • Are you waiting for a perfect plan—or are you willing to take the next faithful step?

  • How can you lean into God’s Word more as your guide?

Faith in Action:
Journal: Write down the decision or area you’re unsure about. Ask God: “What’s my next right step?”
Open the Word: Read Psalm 25 or Proverbs 3. Let His Word ground you before you make your next move.
Seek Wisdom: Ask someone mature in their faith to pray with you and speak into your situation.

Prayer:
God, I don’t always know what to do—and I confess I often want answers more than I want obedience. Help me to trust You with every step. Shine light on the path ahead, even if it’s just enough for today. I surrender my plans for Yours, and I believe You’ll guide me in love. Amen.
